Install a Pool Liner


As we all know swimming pool has many usages, it can be used for exercise, recreational, fun, entertainment, parties, and so on. It will be awful to use a swimming pool that doesn't look appealing, right?  One way to make it attracted is by putting a pool liner.

Pool liner will not only make your swimming pool pleasing to the eye but also it will help you to protect your swimming pool from rusting, cracking and algae growth. Listed below is the proper installation of an overlap swimming pool liner over a freeform swimming pool:

1. Make sure to drain all the water inside the swimming pool. Remove all the swimming products inside the swimming pool, such as, ledges, top caps, skimmer, pool lights, pool alarm, pool vacuum, inverted V-shaped strips, and old liner. Save all the hardware and make sure that when you put your new pool liner all the rusted and missing plates, screws or cage nuts will be replace with new one.

2.  Swimming pool should be on the level ground and it should be rock free and has no sharp objects that may incise the new pool liner. About 4 inch level, mound within the swimming pool a masonry sand and a circular piece of heavy black plastic that will be a weed barrier.

3. By using a garden hose, moisten the sand and then tamp and compact it down.  Make sure that it is leveled because you can't make any adjustment if the pool water was inside the swimming pool. Others use pool floor foam, about 3 inches wide. Its purpose is to soften the floor of the pool after the pool liner has been installed.

4. Wait for a cloudy day to install your new pool liner. It is the best day for pool liner installation because the sun will shrink the vinyl that is made of. Make sure the 2 or more people will help you to install. Open the pool liners box carefully making sure that you won't cut the pool liner inside. Two of you should unfold the pool liner completely making sure it was at the center of the swimming pool. Push all the wrinkles towards the edge, and then drape it over the top of the pool wall securing it with clothes pins for temporary usage.

NOTE: Make sure that the person outside was alert to see how much overhang there is around the perimeter.

5. If all sides are even, slowly add the water using a garden hose. If saw a wrinkle, push the wrinkle towards the edge.

NOTE: If the sun comes up while performing the installation, make sure that you sprinkle some water to the entire pool liner.

6. When you are convinced that the pool liner was properly installed, and on its permanent position, it is time to cut the whole in the vinyl for the skimmer and the inlet fitting. Continue filling the pool until its half way up the skimmer and stop.
